Certified Reseller Ergosis to resell full product line of authentication products that will compliment existing biometrics offering
Ergosis ve Passfaces today announced a strategic partnership to increase the availability of Passfaces’s cognometrics authentication solution in Turkey. Ergosis will resell all Passfaces products which include Passfaces Web Access, Passfaces Financial and Passfaces for Windows. The Passfaces authentication technology will compliment existing security offerings from Ergosis and provide a unique authentication capability.
The software offering includes Passfaces for Windows, Passfaces Web Access and Passfaces Financial. Passfaces for Windows is an out-of-the-box strong authentication solution for Windows networks, Microsoft® IIS based intranets, extranets and enterprise web services. Passfaces Web Access software provides for easy server integration, customizable user interfaces, and a Passfaces Image Library. Passfaces Financial bundles Passfaces Web Access software, support services and a consumer rollout plan into a complete package that gives you everything you need to integrate Passfaces into your existing secure online access system. The technology can be implemented in days.
“Using faces for passwords other than text based characters eliminates the possibility of one’s ability to tell others his password and it additionally removes the risk for one’s taking note of his password and then losing it”, said Oktar Oz, Chairman of the Ergosis’ Board of Directors. Mr. OZ adds that “Science and technology has seemed to come together with a perfect integration model in Passfaces. We believe integrating Passfaces with second factor of authentication methods like biometrics is going to construct rock solid walls in front of the non-authenticated trespassers and will disable reasonably large volumes of fraudulent activities”.
“The continued growth of our partner programs indicates the market for authentication products continues to mature. One sign of this maturation process is the application of uniform security procedures across organizations’ global operations,” said Paul Barrett, CEO Passfaces Corporation. “Ergosis deals with a broad range of clients that need to protect network data and intellectual property. Our technology will now be readily available to even more industry sectors and, for the first time, to companies throughout Europe. We are quite pleased to be working with Ergosis to bring this technology to new markets.”
Passfaces is an information security technology company based in Washington, DC. The Company was founded in 2000 to commercialize an innovative, patented strong authentication technology that leverages the brain’s innate cognitive ability to recognize human faces. Our Passfaces™ products offer business, financial services, government, healthcare and OEM customers a cost effective, fully scalable and highly reliable strong authentication solution that supports business risk management objectives and is both liked and trusted by users. | Identification and access methods are gaining in importance. An efficient identification and access system involves many different technologies and processes. These aim to create identification profiles and use them in an efficient way. Ergosis participated at e-Kim, a forum organized by ARTIFEX, on November 6-7; where leading companies, the government body that fights against financial crimes, lawyers and university representatives came together. Our Assistant General Manager in charge of Marketing and Sales, Güney Seyhan, gave a speech about the “place of biometrics in identity management” where he spoke about the security danger of defective identification and its effect on data access. He also talked about the increase in online commerce and the corresponding need in correctly identifying users who are far away. The aim of biometrics is then, to permanently ban unauthorized users access. |

| Mr. Oktar Öz, the CEO of Ergosis Security Systems Computer Industry and Commerce Ltd Company, has said that the company owes its spectacular growth to a sound analysis of the demand in the market and to the adaptation of technology to everyday use in the cheapest and fastest way. Mr. Öz also stated, “We have been developing integrated solutions based on biometric methods ever since the company was founded. We have always kept very close contact with the companies that developed the technology we have been using, and following up with all new developments, doing R&D work ourselves. This may be a bit unusual for a company of our dimensions; but this quality has given an edge in our operations by enabling us to pass on the latest developments to our customers. Our vision is to establish our name in the relevant sectors with the most recently developed products and services. We know that our greatest asset in reaching our vision and the basis of future policies is our staff, made up of professional, informed, courageous and trustworthy personnel. In order to make the Deloitte list, companies are expected to have accumulated a minimum of €50.000 of operating income in 2001 and €800.000 in 2005; their headquarters should be established in Turkey; and they should be technology companies. Technology companies are defined as such if they acquire a larger part of their income through technology that they possess; or if they allocate an important portion of their income to R&D. Companies that utilize and modify technology developed by other companies are not considered for this list.
Companies that are chosen for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programs in Europe, Middle East and Africa ( EMEA) are then automatically included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program. For further information about these two programs, please refer to www.deloitte.com/fast500emea. |
