Face recognition is an other biometric technology that we are interested in. Its specialty is the necessity of the users' presence which makes a passif biometric technology. It is mostly used with CCTV systems.
There are 4 face recognition systems;
Recognition via a photo; an image is matched with an other image stored on the database
Restricted real image comparison;a specially photographed picture is sent to the computer. (with an equipment where the user can hold his forehead and chin)
Low restricted alive image comparison; a stable position is asked to the suspected in order to have a picture. The computer does the identification.
Non- restricted alive image comparison;a few pictures photographed from different angles is sufficient for this option
From the 1st option to the 4th the speed and the trustability of the system decreases but instead the facility of use increases. Altought its low credibility, it is an intenationally accepted system because on all identification cards there are pictures of its users.It is mostly used beside an other biometric technology.
